The Latest Social Media Craze? The ‘Heart-Shaped Breast Challenge’
Oh…you are going to love this one. Thanks to the ‘Chicks on the Right’!
Once again, it looks like the folks in East are a step ahead of us. No, I don’t mean the North Korea conflict either. This has a bit more to do with what’s trending on social media.
Let’s face it, we all know certain things that trend on social media are usually really, really cute or really, really stupid or bizarre or are connected to sex. This particular topic on social media has to do more with the….bizarre and connected to sex.
As a woman, I find it stupid, but you can judge for yourself.
Leave it to China to be the first to start this. Although to be fair, we have some pretty gross hairy-pitted feminists around the rest of the world, plopping paint-filled eggs out of their hoo-has and calling it “art,” so I can’t mock China too much here. The crazy is everywhere. However, it’s only a matter of time before American millennials start taking this new challenge on.
HEART BOOBS. That’s right. It’s like heart hands…
………………except with boobs.
Apparently, the challenged, named ‘heart-shaped breast challenge’ started earlier this week when a live-stream hostess created ‘the trick’ to attract more fans.
‘To be honest, women with small breasts cannot squeeze out a heart shape,’ said one person said on Weibo.
What did I tell you? BIZARRE RIGHT?!
The trending topic, which has gathered nearly two million clicks on Twitter-like Weibo, came just a week after web users flocked to make a knot with their fingers to show off the flexibility of their hands.
Believe it or not, male users have chosen to put a fun spin on the challenge as a picture showing a middle-aged man trying to squeeze his breast has been shared under the topic.
It’s understood that some of the pictures under the topic page have been removed by the Chinese online censors as they have been deemed too risque.
However, the trending topic page is still accessible as of this writing.
It seems bizarre challenges involving different parts of body have always been popular among Chinese social media users.
Earlier this month, thousands of people in China were showing off the flexibility of their fingers.
One challenge, called the ‘finger knot’, was particularly popular. The challenge asked web users to make a knot with their fingers, and bonus points go to those who could do the trick one-handed.
In 2015, 130 million people joined in the so-called ‘belly button challenge’ as they tried to touch their navels by reaching around their backs. According to the organizer, the challenge was to test if the participants needed to lose weight.
In another popular challenges, women flaunted their figures by showing how many coins they could hold with their collarbones – and the rule was the more coins they could carry, the more beautiful they were.
Whatever the craze or bizarre topic trending in China, it’s only a matter of time before this takes off here in America.
When it does, we are doomed.
Seems to me, people should think of better things to do with their time, other than squeeze hearts out of their boobs.
As a ‘Seinfeld’ fan, all I can do is remind you of the episode where Jerry dumps his girlfriend, Sidra (played by Teri Hatcher), after Elaine convinces him that her breasts are probably the result of implants.
Sidra later finds out that Elaine was Jerry’s former girlfriend (when Kramer indirectly mentions Jerry and Elaine going on a previous trip together) and, thinking he put Elaine up to the incident in the sauna, subsequently dumps Jerry.
As Sidra leaves, she tells Jerry…. “And, by the way. They’re real and they’re spectacular.”
