Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner Looking at California Senate Run: Democrat or Republican? Surprise!
On the heels of Kid Rock rockin’ a possible Senate campaign in Michigan, now former gold-medalist turned transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner says she’s mulling a Senate run in California.
Here is where it gets weird: Caitlyn will be running as a Republican. Jenner has struggled to reconcile her lifelong loyalty to the GOP — a party with sparse support for LGBT rights — with her newly minted status as a trans icon. Dianne Feinstein, who turned 84 in June, has not said whether she plans to seek re-election in 2018, so that leaves a hole wide open for Jenner. I can’t believe I just wrote that. Thousands of people going for the same joke right now. Stop it.
But this story is no joke – to boost her California cred, Jenner criticized Donald Trump for ending an Obama-era directive to allow transgender students access to public school bathrooms of their chosen gender. “From one Republican to another, this is a disaster.” Are we really back to this again? Letting boys into girls bathrooms? I guess so..
What I think is really interesting and laughable is the voter in California, just not knowing what to do.
Imagine all these politically-correct snowflake libs trying to figure out who to pull the lever for? What’s good for the country doesn’t matter of course – what matters more is gender, race, gay, straight – what’s a Californian to do here? Jenner is a trans, but a former MAN which is terrible, a trans activist but REPUBLICAN, which is deplorable… a former JOCK, which we all know are rapists and bullies.
I don’t even know who’s what or who’s who here – so it’s a coin toss. It’s a tough call. But only in Hollywood, right?
“At first I thought I would never run for office. Why? ‘Cause I got way too many secrets,” Jenner told CNN. “Now I have no more secrets. They’re all out. I’ve got nothing the media (could) go crazy over because they know everything.” Funny stuff coming from a media whore if you ask me.
Remember when you were little and your mom told you that “you can be anything you want – even the President”…? In the age of Obama and Trump – now it’s TRUE!!

Back to Bruce.. er, uh Caitlyn. If she does mount a Senate bid, Jenner has her share of political liabilities — most recently a tasteless quip about the shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who remains in the hospital after gunfire erupted last month at a congressional baseball practice.
“Fortunately, the guy was a really bad shot — liberals can’t even shoot straight,” she said at the College Republican National Committee convention, also throwing sympathy to Scalise and his fellow shooting victims. Kinda came out wrong.
Jenner also faced legal snarls after she rear-ended a Lexus into the path of an oncoming Hummer in 2015, with 69-year-old Kim Howe dying at the scene and Jenner’s SUV barreling ahead to hit the back of a Prius. Though Jenner was later cleared of any charges, she settled multiple lawsuits stemming from the fatal crash.
