Just curious… does BuzzFeed actually think anyone believes they aren’t uber leftists? Come on, now! One of their editors on Twitter openly wished for the assassination of President Trump. This is not the first time this has happened over at BuzzFeed either. And of course they were the ones who came out with the Russian dossier on Trump. One employee at BuzzFeed claims he is persecuted for his political stance. There’s probably more than one, but they keep their traps shut to hold onto their jobs. Editor-in-Chief of BuzzFeed News Ben Smith does not strike me as being honest over this.
Tucker Carlson grilled Ben Smith over this and it didn’t go well for Smith. It was basically a debate over the left and the media being so anti-Trump. Smith is claiming that he’s hiring conservative reporters… I’ll believe it when I see it. It has become abundantly clear to Tucker Carlson and people like me that journalism is overwhelmingly populated by liberals. And conservatives are discriminated against and shut up at every turn. In fact, they don’t get hired in the first place or if they air their views, they are gotten rid of. It’s just how it is.
From Fox News Insider:
Tucker Carlson debated BuzzFeed editor-in-chief Ben Smith four months after their first fiery battle over an unverified dossier of damaging claims against President Trump.
On Wednesday, Carlson debated Smith on whether – as Politico reported – the mainstream media “missed the Donald Trump swell” of support because their ranks are mostly liberals living in left-leaning locales.

He asked whether BuzzFeed was one of those news outlets Politico was talking about – with offices primarily in Washington, New York and Los Angeles.
Smith disagreed, responding that he recently hired a conservative political reporter and is looking to base journalists in places like Ohio.

Carlson said journalism was effectively a “one-party state” devoid of diversity.
“How many Trump people do you think you have on staff at BuzzFeed?” Carlson asked.
Smith defended BuzzFeed, saying that despite the locations of his offices, he looks for right-leaning reporters.
“I don’t poll my employees,” he said.
Carlson said that a former BuzzFeed reporter recently revealed he had been shunned by his colleagues for unknowingly offending Native Americans.
The reporter, known on Twitter as “Baked Alaska,” said that he once referred to singer Justin Bieber as his “spirit animal,” and other staff members were offended by it.
Twitchy points out that former BuzzFeed employee Tim “Treadstone” Gionet, a.k.a. @BakedAlaska, accused BuzzFeed employees of not only treating him “unfairly” when he “came out as a Trump supporter,” but that some at the company “openly wish someone will assassinate” President Trump. There are tweets supporting this. Baked Alaska’s tweet came after he saw Tucker Carlson interview Ben Smith, who he called a ‘liar’.
Baked Alaska provided copies of tweeted conversations against President Trump to make his point. And after this news broke, three staffers locked their accounts. The left is calling it a joke, I call it evil. For instance, when Justice Antonin Scalia died, BuzzFeed held an office party. I wouldn’t hold your breath hoping that CEO Jonah Peretti will condemn his employees for this. It seems to be endemic at BuzzFeed.
Ben is lying, I was treated very unfairly at BuzzFeed when I came out as a Trump supporter. They openly wish someone will assassinate Trump. https://t.co/LssbKtOoiW
