NO WAY! FedEX Just Made INCREDIBLE Move For NRA- Liberals In MELTDOWN Mode!

By  |

FedEX has done what no other company has the guts to do: they teamed up with the NRA. They are giving NRA members discounts on shipping, and the liberals are FREAKING OUT!

In an insane world where anything with the slightest attachment to conservative values can cost a corporation dearly with angry liberal activist groups, shipping company FedEx has done something pretty amazing: partnered with the National Rifle Association.

According to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, the shipping company is offering shipping discounts to members of the group as part of an NRA program that also offers deals to holders of Visa cards. The discounts for the NRA’s five million members can be as much as 26 percent.

That’s pretty awesome. It’s also, predictably, stirred up tons of liberal ire.

According to Ad Age, Guns Down, a liberal gun-grabbing group, is using the holiday season for a bit of attention grabbing. They protested Wednesday at FedEx outlets in Denver; Atlanta; Memphis, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida. They also started an online petition to get FedEx to sever their relationship with the NRA.

“Ask them, politely but firmly, to pull out of the NRA’s Business Alliance and cease supporting a reckless organization that puts the public safety of Americans at risk in the name of corporate profits,” Guns Down said in the petition.

“The National Rifle Association is the most powerful corporate lobbying group in America.  They accept millions of dollars from gun manufacturers every year to advance an extremist pro-gun agenda, including eliminating gun-free zones at schools and houses of worship, gutting criminal background checks for gun sales, and allowing open carrying of guns in all public places.”

Yeah. And the problem with that is?

Eliminating gun-free zones at schools and houses of worship, as well as open carry in all public places, is a deterrent to criminals. I wouldn’t characterize the NRA as wanting to “gut” criminal background checks, simply realizing that they’re an ineffective tool and fail to stop criminals, especially when taken to the preposterous extent the left wants to.

Igor Volsky, president of Guns Down, came up with another absurd reason to stop the discounts.

“FedEx is one of the biggest and most recognizable brands” with NRA discounts, Volsky told the Times-Picayune. “If they really value investing in under-served communities, which we think they do, then partnering with the NRA really undermines that mission.”

Under-served communities? Like Chicago, which has the strictest gun laws in the nation? How’s that working out for everyone?

Oh well. The protest doesn’t seem to have borne any immediate fruit, and we hope it stays that way.

In a time of extreme political correctness, FedEx is taking a stand for reason and constitutional values, and we couldn’t be happier.

We need more companies to follow in FedEX’s footsteps. If the business leaders of America won’t stand for our constitutional rights, then who will? That’s right, FedEX will!!
