With just weeks left in office, President Obama and his family are cashing in on their final tax-payer funded vacation.
Must be nice…
The Obamas arrived in Hawaii late Friday night to partake in their annual holiday trip.
They will stay for two weeks, and as you can imagine, the cost is staggering.
The cost for the 2013-2014 trip surpassed $8 million, according to the Washington Examiner.
Gov. David Ige, Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell, Sen. Brian Schatz, and Adm. Harry Harris, commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, were all on hand to greet the president at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.
Obama held his final press conference of the year on Friday, saying, “Mele Kalikimaka,” before leaving the podium.
