Dolly Parton was at the Emmy’s… brave girl considering how bad they were and how it was the lowest rated showing for the event to date. It was a 9 to 5 reunion with leftists Lily Tomlin and Hanoi Jane Fonda. Parton was in the middle… literally. Both Tomlin and Fonda started taking jabs at President Trump and Dolly looked like she just wanted out of there. Poor kid. She wanted nothing to do with their hateful humor.

Dolly introduced the reunion of sorts on stage by stating: “Personally, I have been waiting for a ‘9 to 5’ reunion ever since we did the first one.” And then Hanoi Jane chimed in: “Well, back in 1980, in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.” Nice cheap shot at Trump. Lily Tomlin couldn’t help herself: “And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot!” before Fonda introduced the next category. Good for them! So, I guess they won’t be supporting Hillary Clinton anymore.

Dolly Parton was arguably a bigger name than the other two and you would have thought she would have had a parting line in all of this, but Dolly’s no fool. She didn’t want any part of the other two’s divisive politics. Good for her. She looked like the other two were aging moonbats in her estimation and she wanted out of there and fast.

The Emmy’s was an unmitigated disaster this year with political correctness and racism run amok. One of the stars there said she would only root and vote for those that are black. She would later snark at white people on Twitter. Who says racism isn’t alive and well? Most of the stars were all wearing little blue ribbons last night in support of the communist ACLU. Nice to know where their sympathies lie. Not surprising in the least.

Last summer, the left tried to convince everyone that Dolly Parton was a big supporter of Hillary Clinton. She didn’t endorse anyone as far as I know and I don’t think that Dolly wants any part of dirty politics. Good for her. However, I’m not going to let Dolly totally off the hook here. She knew what Tomlin and Fonda would say before they appeared. These things are scripted and rehearsed. If she had truly done the right thing, she would have canceled and let the leftists fend for themselves. By just appearing with them, she gave the appearance of condoning their hateful vitriol. Dolly’s better than that. The Emmy’s certainly aren’t.
