An anonymous source from Fox News Channel has spoken to Breitbart about the way staffers at the network really feel about Megyn Kelly.
“Everybody in the building is sick of it. We absolutely can’t stand it anymore,” said the source. “This ‘all me, all the time’ tour, ‘I’m the victim,’ … is getting really old.”
“Go. We don’t care. Leave. You want to be friends with Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon? Go to CNN. Have fun.”
Apparently, the general consensus is that everyone hopes Kelly will leave soon for CNN or ABC, both networks which the anchor is reported to be considering, and both which have offered her less than the $20 million salary figure FNC has.
What they do offer is what Kelly reportedly considers to be more advantageous working conditions.
The source also said that Kelly’s book sales, which have been dismal for someone so high-profile, were disappointing, especially after she was given a $6 million advance.
After debuting at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list in mid-November, Kelly’s memoir has fallen to #4 in just a few weeks, and sold fewer than 150,000 units through its first three weeks.
“For someone with a profile, that’s a disaster, an unmitigated disaster. It’s the biggest loser since Hillary Clinton’s book [Hard Choices],” added the source, who called Kelly “the weakest link in the lineup” at Fox.
