Boycott ABC, ESPN and Disney Until ABC Fires George Stephanopoulos and Brian Ross - I Have The Truth

Boycott ABC, ESPN and Disney Until ABC Fires George Stephanopoulos and Brian Ross

By  |

***Welcome Instapundit Readers***

Conservatives are always asking me how they can fight back.  Aside from my usual advice – get behind a conservative candidate’s campaign and do everything you can to get them elected – here’s an easy way:

Boycott all Disney movies, all ESPN programming, and all ABC programming until ABC News fires George Stephanopoulos and Brian Ross.

This morning on Good Morning America, the dynamic duo of Ross and Stephanopoulos equated the Tea Party’s fight for limited government with the murders perpetrated last night in Aurora, Colorado.  Despite their half-assed apologies, they have impuned the integrity of millions of Americans by demeaning the tea party on national television.  (Stephanopoulos was also behind blaming talk radio for the Oklahoma City bombing under the Clinton Administration.)

Let’s send a message.  Let’s tell the left-wing media that their bias is going to start hurting them.

Disney owns both ABC and ESPN.  Roughly 150 million Americans describe themselves as conservative.  If just a small fraction of us join in this boycott, I promise that Stephanopoulos and Ross will be unemployed within the next two weeks.

Disney’s movie “Brave” hits the theaters this week.  Let’s start there.  Don’t take your kids to see it.  Stop watching SportsCenter.  If you watch any of ABC’s programming, take a break for awhile. (See a list of ABC’s programming here

Also, flood ABC News’ lines with your complaints.  (This will really screw up their days.)

Their assignment desk is 212 456 2700.

You can reach ESPN at 212 916 9200.

And Disney at 212 456 3412

Make a dozen calls a day if you can.  If they tell you to call another office, keep calling.  Eventually their internal complaints will reach management.

Let’s make a stand.  Let’s tell the networks that their unadmitted bias has repercussions.  The only way to do it is to make keeping Stephanopoulos and Ross more painful than it’s worth.

If you have another blog, please share this mission.  This blog gets more than half a million hits per month, and as our boycott gains speed, other sites are certain to join our cause.

I like Disney, ESPN and a few shows on ABC.  I’m going to boycott them anyway.  Together we can affect change for the better in our national discourse.  Please share this on Facebook, Twitter and your own blogs.  Please join me in the boycott until Stephanopoulos and Ross join the 8.4% of America that is unemployed.

Yours truly,
Steve Foley

You guys need to learn to read and listen for comprehension. There’s a guy associated with the Tea Party in the area who has the same name as the shooter… and when this information was being presented, it was always being presented as a *possible* connection, not a definitive one.

Once it was discovered that it was two different men with the same name, the information was updated.

But you kids go ahead with yet another failed boycott. I’m sure Disney is still shaking in its cartoon boots after all the anti-gay boycotters closed down the theme park and nearly drove it into bankruptcy.
Oh, wait. That didn’t happen, either.

      Hey Doofus,

Brian Ross has been in journalism for three decades.  He’s ABC’s chief investigative reporter.  He’s supposed to do follow-ups and confirmations before he says anything on the air.  That’s his . . . uh . . . job.

An update doesn’t unsay his words.  If you knew the first thing about journalism, you’d recognize your ridiculousness.

       Nice try but NO!

Not sure why you feel the need to cover for this abhorrent behavior but it’s silly. We’re fully aware of the way this went down and the updated retraction our beef is with the inherent problem of rushing to judgment by the MSM and always trying, in vain, to link the Tea Party with violent acts. See here for more on that

Maybe you need to comprehend that this was a deliberate ploy perpetrated by ross and georgie boy…to cast a disparaging remark on the Tea Party, then when called on the carpet for their heinous actions..a small retraction was issued.  Not an apology mind you, a insignificant utterance of a few words..expressing their regret…Not for out right LIE, but for getting caught and confronted with it!  ABC should have to pay any and all expenses incurred by the gentleman falsely accused, including 24 hour protection for him and his family…because there will be plenty of idiots that have already and will continue to harass and possibly physically accost this completely innocent individual.  But the innocence as well as the truth is inconsequential to these fools.  The damage has already been done and their goal, however lame, was accomplished.  Now crawl back into your dark, dank, libritard hole…and this time please pull it in after you!

The ‘net or telephone book yields a number of James Holmes, but now let’s see, which one could it possibly be?  Oh, I see Tea Party association, must be that guy…”

ABC’s Stepanopoulus and Ross made a deliberate attempt to malign the Tea Party.  As men of the Left, in their minds it is their job to do everything they can to support their current “leader” Obama, and destroy the basic tenets and foundation of America.  It’s what they do every day and night on the malignant media channels.  It pervasive throughout their news programing but also all their entertainment shows.  BTW, of the Left, means communists/socialists/fascists.

It was irresponsible and also libelous for what they did.  They also endangered another man and his family from crazies who started threatening him (even though they had the real James Holmes in custody.

Typical of you lefties to worry about pet agendas like gay issues and hating America, instead of the horrific tragedy.

I stopped watching network/cable news 4 years ago. The 24 hour news cycle has turned the news into a mindless 24/7 tabloid soap opera with a predetermined agenda. They have too much time to fill and no interest in actually researching their stories before going on air with their verbal diarrhea. Their irresponsible speculation hurts people. It’s not about facts or the truth. They should have never mentioned this man unless they were certain it was him. I hope he sues the network and wins big time.

      I agree with you jenny2.

I also lost interest in watching cable news a few years ago.  Got tired of the predictable talking heads and their jumping around from story to story like a bunch of kangaroos.  Then repeating ad naseaum.

Quit watching nightly news shows and reading newspapers many many moons before that for even better reasons.

I can find everything I need to know on the interwebs – and no commercials!

How long before we see this from the White house:

In lieu of flowers or other memorials the Obama campaign suggests earmarking gifts for the Re-election of the President.

An interesting idea – boycotting Disney and its subsidiaries – but ultimately impractical and totally ineffective.

Disney/ABC/ESPN don’t make their millions directly from us, but by the dollars advertisers pay to put their ads in front of our eyeballs.  If you want to hurt Disney/ABC, go to the companies that advertise on their shows and tell those companies that you’re boycotting them because of their support of Disney/ABC.

If your plan is simply to tell Disney that you’re boycotting their shows, they’ll shrug and mumble some platitudes about programming for a diverse audience, but they’ll still get their money from the advertisers.

However, pick out just one of ABC News advertisers, and boycott that one advertiser until they pull all their ad support from Disney/ABC.  And send a letter to all other ABC News advertisers  telling them exactly what you’re doing with the first advertiser and that they’re next in line to be boycotted unless they pull their advertising.

A concentrated effort is more noticeable when directed towards one advertiser, and it’s easier to sustain.

All well and good, but the best way to serve justice is to notify THE SPONSORS of the Stephanopolis program that we will boycott their products and services.  Money talks.

I think the left AND the right are misguided fools. you both fight for greedy sides of the coin. come to the middle, find a stance and stop being so damned pathetic. Take your God out of the equation, eliminate your racism, ignorance and ideology. Recognize that governments on both the right AND the left are manipulating you all. Such a sad state of affairs.

In most instances the Left is the aggressor against the Right which is usually in a defensive mode against the Left. Your complaint should be aimed at the Left leaning media, the source of most false attacks.

Not watching is insufficient…boycotting their advertisers and letting them know why cuts to the chase…provide the list and phone numbers

Political Affliiation should have or do not have anything to do with such a tradegy and the fact that one opps! 2 would stoop this low. I think that they should be terminated, so that they could seek full-time therapy on what is most important in life… family and love-ones. As Journalist, they have tarnished the Journalism Field. They certainly need PRAYER… I’m even praying for their families on which these 2 men, assist them get the necessary help.

Typical leftwingwackoism.    Use a tragedy to pursue a political agenda.   That’s just the way they are.   Hurt others who disagree with their agenda.

We will NEVER stay at a disney resort again. Last time, I called to complain the cable line up did not include FOX. The operator said it was management’s decision and she agreed FOX was missed. The mouse will no longer get my hard earned cash.
